PROGRAMS

BMI Provides counseling for the entire family, including programs for children of the Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) to help them adjust to circumstantial changes in their home environments. Transportation support and employment opportunities through Job Fairs for the BVI community will   create a path to independence and self-sufficiency.

 

Salons & Barber shops will host CUT-A-THONS. Proceeds will be donated to provide services and training for the men. Grooming and hygiene products are provided.

Beauty for Sight is a coalition organized to connect the Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) community to services that create beauty inside and out. Hair salon partner with the coalition to provide services that help build self-esteem and confidence. Fundraising events like conventions and tea parties may be organized by local churches and women’s groups and to bring the community together in fellowship. BVI women will benefit from the sale of high quality wigs through the Nu Vision Wig collection.

Growing. Learning. Achieving. Maturing. These special young women work through life’s obstacles and challenges to achieve and maintain high GPA’s and bridge the disparities between the disadvantaged and privileged. Their entrepreneurial and community service program provides fundraising for the BVI community.

 

Gentlemen Society advances young men to prepare for manhood , entrepreneurship, and today’s workforce. Society members will participate in community service projects to support those in need.

 

Provide fundraising events that combine beauty and entertainment through concerts, awards, benefit events, and galas.

 

 

Encourage Friends Group is connecting the underserved visually impaired community with youth who have a passion to serve others with kindness, respect and equality.
